I Too Packed My Bag of Desires

Just as the fish can’t last long away from the ocean and the body needs the soul to remain warm, the lover too has to return to his true home

I Too Packed My Bag of Desires

The child must one day
Return to his parent.
The bird must fly
Back to its nest.
And the nightingale
Yearns for the Rose.
The arrow will soon
Come home to the quiver.

The fish cannot last forever
Away from the ocean.
The heart cannot beat
For long out of the chest.
And the body needs
The soul to remain warm.

I too packed
My bag of desires
And made my way back
To where I truly belong

  • SubhanAllah!! The sojourn by itself is a gift, a marvel, which is unparalleled. The last two lines are so profound, \"Invaluable than any gifts, Inimitable are they in looks\".
