In the Dungeon of Senses

Exploring the quest for a divine bond, pondering upon existence and faith, all the while yearning for mercy.

In the Dungeon of Senses

I hailed your glory,
From the hell-fire to flee.
I celebrated your praise,
To enroll myself for paradise.
I acclaimed your greatness,
To fulfill my wants and needs.

All my life I called You,
Only for a Reason,
In the world of love:
This is no less than treason.

Now I call You,
And only You,
For the reason,
None other.

All my life I haven’t
Heard, seen, or felt,
For, You are beyond
All that I can think.

Have mercy, O Most Beautiful,
On my mind and intellect,
For, I am held captive
In the dungeon of senses.

For now, I can only fancy,
And conveniently call it Faith.
Forgive, my Lord and Beloved,
Pity a bit on this rogue hypocrite.
